Ukrainians sing at late night shopping.

We were very lucky to be able to listen to our Ukrainian friends singing carols and folk songs at Late Night Shopping in Shaftesbury.

Halyna, who had kindly convened the group, introduced each song and the singers were so expressive and communicative that we could hear just what she had meant about the meaning of each without speaking a word of Ukrainian!

There were sad ones, upbeat ones and plenty of humour too. Afterwards both singers and audience agreed they had relished them all!
